My Politics
I recently heard someone reporting that Donald Trump suggested that some of the folks marching at the Women's March were there supporting him. Perhaps there were, but I would have to say this is a serious misinterpretation of the day's events. All I can say is that I have never seen so many people in one place in my entire life, and I say not a single sign of a Trump supporter. What I did here was, "This is what democracy looks like!" over and over again. I was proud to be there with two of my oldest friends, standing up for what we believed, grateful that for all its other flaws, we live in a country where you can gather in large numbers today, and not worry that you will meet with resistance or violence. Sorry Donald, in spite of your chronic misrepresentation of the facts, we were not there supporting you, we were there reminding ourselves and your administration's supporters that this is the republic of America, comprised of Native Americans and immigrants, people of great diversity striving for an ever more inclusive community.
